the Lenham Pottery Models one-eighth scale Percheron horse.
The modern history of the breed in Britain dates from the founding of the British Percheron Horse Society in 1917. Many of these strong, brisk-striding, docile horses were imported from France after serving as gun-teams in the First World War. They can still be found in their original home in the La Perche region of France. The permitted breed colours are grey (from light to black) and dapple (also from light to dark as shown). The model is in a walking position, 8 inches to the withers, (16 hands). The circumference of the chest is 11 inches, and the diameter is 3.5 inches. Allow 4 inches between shafts. Suitable for all farm vehicles and trade delivery vans.
