The
Tate Gallery, in London, put on an exhibition devoted to the works
of George Stubbs, 17 October, 1984 - 6 January, 1985. It then moved
to the Yale Center for British Art, 13 February - 7 April, 1985. It
was sponsored by United Technologies Corporation. The sumptuous exhibition
catalogue contains more than just illustrations of the 190 pictures,
prints and drawings that were on show. There are learned articles,
