Making the Armature, Page Two of Three.

The armature leg wires in place.

The leg wires were made from two 1/8th inch brass tubes, which is more malleable than rod of the same diameter, and tied at the joints with fine brass wire. Both nearside and offside wires are now inserted into the holes drilled in the baseboard.

Wire armature completed.

One single wire was bent according to the outline and here it is shown in place, tied to the leg wires with thin soft brass wire.

Two books that I have found very useful on horse anatomy are feature on a related page.
